Novato Creek Watershed Public Meeting

Learn how to protect Novato against flooding and sea level rise and help our native wildlife at the same time at a free, public program on Monday, June 22 at Novato School District offices, 1015 7th Street presented by Marin Conservation League, in conjunction with its North Marin Unit.

This program will include a report on results of studies of Novato Creek watershed sponsored by the Marin County Watershed Program which have looked at conditions that may affect current and future flood control actions.

Laurie Williams, Marin County senior watershed planner, will review the Watershed Program and introduce the historic ecology of Novato Creek.  The program provides interesting background and projects future characteristics with alternatives for public review.  This interesting and informative program is important to all Novato residents.  Novato Creek is the core of the community and with the tributaries, the basis of our valleys.  Now is the time to find out how we can restore habitat, provide flood protection and address sea level rise. Everyone is welcome and there will be free refreshments.
