Please join MCL and thousands of volunteers across the state for the 30th annual
California Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 20. This annual event serves a dual purpose: to clean beaches and waterways, and also to document the volume and specific types of trash that accumulate along the shoreline. This information serves to help lawmakers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers figure out new ways of preventing all this debris from reaching the world's oceans.

Sausalito, volunteers will meet at the

Scottsdale Pond Gazebo and then some will fan out to Upper Novato Creek, Vineyard Creek and Warner Creek. Contact

Free Barbecue!All Marin County volunteers are invited to attend the FREE BBQ celebration at the Bay Model in Sausalito from noon - 3 pm immediately following the cleanup. If you cannot join MCL at one of our sites, please visit the

Volunteer HoursCoastal Cleanup is a great way to collect three volunteer community service hours, mandatory at many schools. MCL's site captains can provide signed volunteer service forms following the event.
