wilson_dougDoug Wilson was born and raised in the Bay Area and has been a member of MCL since the 1980s.  His interests have tended toward land use, transportation and open space policy.  In past years Doug served on the Fairfax Town Council and as mayor, on the Marin County Parks, Open Space and Cultural Affairs Commission, chaired the Marin County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and represented Marin on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.  Previously he served as a member and Chair of the Sierra Club Marin Group Executive Committee and currently sits on the Marin Baylands Advocates.

Doug is a retired builder and construction manager with a BA, and MA from UC Berkeley and now has time for pursuing art. One of his recent ceramic sculptures won top honors at the Marin County Fair.

Doug currently serves as co-chair of MCL's Climate Change Working Group.
