Marin Conservation League welcomes you to Walks into Conservation History of Marin County. In this program, which is designed for senior walk- ers and is free, we visit some of the special lands in Marin that have been acquired over many years for people to enjoy and to protect the plants and wildlife that inhabit them. Each has trails to walk and stories to tell. Our focus is on the County’s Open Space Preserves, but we will visit other pub- lic lands.
We transport you by van, take leisurely walks on easy trails, tell stories about the lands and how they were conserved, introduce you to the plants and wildlife, and enjoy a light snack.
Bothin Marsh, a 106-acre vestige of Richardson Bay’s historic salt marshes, hosts cordgrass and pickleweed -- shorebirds and waterfowl. Walk the McGlashan Pathway, and enjoy a warm-up snack in the TCSDistrict “Cabin.” (Wheelchair accessible)
